The Center for Strategic Development in Civil Aviation (AVIACENTER) has carried out a number of studies to predict the capacity of the UAV market in the oil and gas industry. As part of the project, AVIACENTER prepared options analysis of the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the oil and gas industries, world benchmarking (segments, market size, main market players); defined market scope of monitoring of oil and gas pipelines in vertically integrated oil & gas companies of the Russian Federation, the volume of the logistics market of oil and gas deposits with payload of up to 250 kg, specified realization concept of logistic tasks in the field service. Analysis of UAVs application and forecast of UAVs operation options in offshore fields in the Arctic were also made.
