Anton Koren on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel about the development of new air transportation routes 24.07.2024 00:00
Anton Koren, head of the TSC Consortium, General Director of the Center for Strategic Development in Aviation on air on the Russia 24 TV channel. The video review highlights the airports operations and airlines during the period of high season. According to information provided by the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya), passenger traffic of airlines of the Russian Federation in June 2024 increased by 6% compared to the same month last year and amounted to 10.7 million pax. The industry's performance, which continues to grow amid the high season, suggests that the market has stabilized after the restrictions of 2020-2022. On the other hand, despite the challenges and difficulties, airlines are meeting demand requirements through efficient management of available capacity. Anton Koren said that Asia is now developing among the new directions, in particular, he noted the directions in China and Thailand. Anton Koren also noted that “this year, air transportation is developing mainly from Russian regional hubs. And due to the shortage of airline capacity and the already high load factor of air carriers up to 90%, the growth is being smoothed out; with a sufficient volume of the aircraft fleet, the growth would be even higher, since the demand for air transportation significantly exceeds the airlines' capacity." For other interesting facts about the development of the industry, see the video review on Russia 24. |
