The winners of the Eurasian Award in Aviation Marketing were announced at the NETWORK and NETWORK CARGO Forums  16.07.2019 10:49

The Center for Strategic Development in Civil Aviation (AVIACENTER) established the Eurasian Award in Aviation Marketing among airports, airlines and civil aviation enterprises of the Eurasian region.

The award involves the election of winners based on the objective analysis of measurable criteria and quality characteristics of commercial and marketing activities of airlines and airports. Besides, the Eurasian Aviation Marketing Award includes special nominations to reward high achievements in certain activity areas, and in some nominations the results are determined by Internet voting.

According to the results of a comprehensive expert assessment, the title “Airline of the Year” was awarded to:

  • in Group A (traffic volume over 5 million passengers per year) - Siberia Airlines;
  • in Group B (traffic volume from 1 to 5 million passengers per year) - Red Wings Airlines and SCAT Airlines;
  • in Group C (traffic volume from 500 thousand to 1 million passengers per year) - RusLine Aviation Company.

The Expert Committee of the Eurasian Award in Aviation Marketing also established special nominations, which distinguished Rossiya Airlines for significant success in customer care and development of ancillary services.

For the special contribution to the development of aviation in Siberia, the award went to NordStar Airlines.

For high marketing activity, the Expert Committee of the Eurasian Award honored Krasnoyarsk International Airport.

According to the results of a comprehensive assessment by the Expert Committee, the title “Airport of the Year” was awarded to:

  • in Group A (passenger numbers over 10 million passengers per year) - Vnukovo International Airport;
  • in Group B (passenger numbers from 5 to 10 million passengers per year) - Tolmachevo International Airport (Novosibirsk);
  • in Group C (passenger numbers from 3 to 5 million passengers per year) - Platov International Airport (Rostov-on-Don);
  • in Group D (passenger numbers from 1 to 3 million passengers per year) - Zhukovsky International Airport;
  • in Group E (passenger numbers up to 1 million passengers per year) - Kaluga International Airport.

The Expert Commission of the Award established a number of special nominations for companies that are showing high results in air cargo transportation in the Eurasian region.

In air cargo segment of special nominations, the following companies were recognized:

  • AirBridgeCargo Airlines - for the significant contribution to the development of air cargo in the Eurasian region;
  • Cargo terminal Moscow Cargo - for the launch of the most modern and innovative air cargo terminal in the Eurasian region;
  • Russian Post - for the development of postal and cargo transportation in the Eurasian market.

The Center for Strategic Development in Civil Aviation organized an independent Internet voting, where Internet users could vote for the best airline and the best airport and submit their reviews.

According to Internet users, Rossiya Airlines was voted as the best airline, and Vnukovo International Airport – as the best airport.

The award ceremony took place within the Gala-dinner of the Eurasian Route Development Forums NETWORK and NETWORK CARGO. The Forum delegates and the Award winners enjoed the unique concert program, which included ethnic musical performances by the peoples of Siberia, classical and modern music pieces, as well as original musical and entertainment acts laced with aviation-themed features.

NETWORK and NETWORK CARGO are organized by the Center for Strategic Development in Civil Aviation (AVIACENTER).

The host company is Krasnoyarsk International Airport (Emelyanovo).
