AVIACENTER PREPARED AN ECONOMIC JUSTIFICATION FOR CONSTRUCTING A NEW AIRPORT IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION 23.08.2019 17:35
AVIACENTER prepared an economic justification for constructing a new airport in the Russian Federation. 23.08.2019 17:35 The results of the project included: justification of the construction of a new regional airport, calculation of design capacities and identification of development prospects. The starting point was the analysis of the current demand for air transport services and the dynamics of air transportation development in the region, where a new airport will be constructed. The analysis had also encompassed alternative modes of transport and capacity of the commercial passenger and cargo transportation by air and other modes of transport in this region. A total of 12 air transport segments were analysed. With regard to commercial segments, the AVIACENTER experts have developed a route network development strategy for a new airport, have identified optimal types of aircraft for passenger transportation and have calculated the required airfield parameters for accommodating the calculated types of aircraft. For the construction planning, the study identified the basic limitations of the land plot and the master-planning were conducted. In addition, a feasibility study was performed for a new airline to be based at this future airport.
