The IX International Conference "Airport Design, Construction and Operation – 2020" will be held in Moscow on October 22, 2020.
The Conference is the main professional industry event to share experiences and presentations of new ideas and technologies by leading international and Eurasian experts and discuss, at the state and business level, all issues of regulation improvement with regard to airports and aerodromes design.
The Conference will traditionally be attended by representatives of federal executive authorities, the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation, FAI Glavgosexpertiza of Russia, FSUE Administration of Civil Airports (Aerodromes), FSI Directorate for the Construction and Operation of Rosgranitsa Facilities (Rosgranstroy), general directors of airports and their deputies, directors for construction and operation of ground structures, technical directors and chief engineers of airports, managers and specialists of design organizations and architectural offices, and suppliers of technologies, solutions, innovative materials, modern technology and equipment used in design, construction, reconstruction and operation of airports.
Over 100 topics will be addressed at the Conference, including design and operation of airports based on the requirements related to the current epidemiological situation and innovative industry solutions.
In particular, the issues to be discussed include: legislative regulation and state policies in improving the efficiency of design and operation of airports, best international practices in master-planning, pre-design studies, design, construction and operation of passenger and cargo terminals, airfields, landside areas and other airport infrastructure facilities.
The event will present innovative technologies and solutions, as well as materials, machinery and equipment used in design, construction, reconstruction and operations of airports.
Representatives of airports and regional authorities will take part in the workshop "Modern approaches to pre-design and design of airport". At the workshop, the leading experts of the Center for Strategic Development in Civil Aviation (Aviacenter) will address the following topics:
- Modern international approaches to design.
- Planning the air traffic volume, determining the estimated types of aircraft based on the strategy of developing the route network from the airport.
- Role of airport route network development strategy and fleet mix in master planning and design of airport facilities.
- Effective modern methods to determine the estimated types of aircraft when designing airport facilities.
- Modern approaches and detailed forecast of peak infrastructure loads in the planned period, taking into account the airport's marketing plan.
- Planning passenger terminals and other airport facilities to increase non-aviation revenues.
- Practical cases of the Aviacenter projects.
- Legal issues of design, construction and operation of airports when developing public-private partnership (PPP) projects.
